Formed in Bologna (north Italy), Caron Dimonio are Giuseppe Lo Bue (voice, guitar, synths, piano and drum machine), FIlippo Scalzo (bass) and Lorenzo Brogi (drum machine, synths). The project started at the end of 2012 in Giuseppe's home studio, where the first ideas began to take shape. In 2013, with Filippo joining in, the band truly begins to rise. Caron Dimonio's songs are a sort of mixture between post-punk and electronica with some "noisey" sounds. The lyrics are hermetical and decadent, while the music is minimal. In March 2013 Gianluca Lo Presti, the owner of "Disco Dada" label, produced their first demo EP. Since than, thanks to social networks, Caron Dimonio started to play in many Italian's clubs, supporting band like Soviet Soviet and KVB. On the 13th of December 2013 they concluded their first tour by supporting The ChameleonsVox at Bologna's Covo Club. They started to record their first album, "Gestalt", at Gianluca Lo Presti's Lotostudio in Ravenna. “Gestalt" was released on the 13th of March in 2014. One of the tracks of the album, "3", was chosen by the well-known fashion brand "Gaudi" for an online commercial. In October 2014, "Gestalt" was re-released by the Atavic Records. Caron Dimonio also joined many other bands in playing "I Don't Wanna Be Me" for the Type O Negative's Peter Steele tribute called "This Man of Steele" produced by Darkitalia and released on the 14th of April 2015. The track was recorded, mixed and mastered by Giuseppe Taibi (European Ghost/Two Moons). On March 15th 2016 released “Solaris”, their new second album, produced by Gianluca Lo Presti, the new single called "Imago Mortis" publisched in February 2016, in that year the concerts outside Italy will intensify. In December 2017 will be released "Religio" the new third album, MTV new generation has promoted the first single "Hitler amava i cani" and begins new cooperation with Lorenzo Brogi, the new drummer. On 28 february the trio released “Porno post mortem”, the fourth album, the album has had a very good reviews from the specialized magazines. In june 2022 the band was contacted by the swiss punk/goth brand “Punkrave” to pose as models, they called the experience “very funny”. In these years Caron Dimonio have shared the stage with: Selofan, KVB, Chameleons vox, Ash Code, Soviet Soviet, Imnoone, Spiritual front, European Ghost and many others. In november 2024, the band recorded its fifth album, “Mors Propaganda”, set for release in February 2026 on the Polish label Batcave. Mors Propaganda is a mix of Roland keyboards, Octapad, old Korg Electribe grooveboxes, arpeggiators, bass melodies, delays, reverbs and acid guitars. The lyrics are a “cut up” of what Giuseppe wrote between 2022 and 2024. The album was preceded by “Grey” the first single, along with its accompanying music video.
